Cyndy Sherwood is the founding director of His Healing Light Ministries. She has been teaching scripture since 1972 and has written many Bible lessons for various ages and groups. She has spoken publicly in a variety of settings including classes, conferences, retreats and worship services.
She began writing the curriculum for and teaching the Healing Journey Class in 2001 and taught the material twelve times prior to publishing. In addition to writing The Healing Journey Student’s Manual, she has also written a nonfiction book, Road Map to Healing, which will be available soon.
Her material has emerged from her own healing journey with the Lord that began in 1991. Through her own suffering and seeking the Lord through her pain, she discovered his truths that restore us to the fullness of life that he intended all along.
Cyndy and her husband Bryan live in Colorado Springs. They have two adult daughters, two adult sons, a daughter who has gone to be
with the Lord and four grandchildren.
THE MINISTRY
His Healing Light Ministries was founded in 2003 by two women, Kari Haj-Hussein and Cyndy Sherwood. The ministry grew out of the local classes which began in 2001. The team now includes many women, most having begun by taking the class themselves. HHLM is not affiliated with a denomination, although Cyndy is accountable to her local pastor for her leadership of the ministry.
We are supportedentirely by tax-deductible donations and the sale of materials and operate without debt, moving forward only as God provides.
Our ministry seeks opportunities to communicate God’s message of hope and truth in the Bible that freedom and healing are available to anyone who believes God and follows his road map to healing. Currently, our primary avenue of support to women is the Healing Journey Class. We provide written materials to help women and men heal in both a class setting and individually. We also support women through speaking engagements and retreats.
