I’ve been in the hands of doctors, psychologists, attorneys, and other professionals. My experiences have run the gamut from terrible to wonderful. With so much on the line (it was my life they were dealing with!), it was nerve-racking to say the least. Not everyone is trustworthy.
|
That’s not the reality when the Lord takes up our case. We have nothing to fear. He has seen the wrong done to us. He is aware of every insult, betrayal, rejection and plot against us. He cares about the things and people who have hurt our heart and tried to ruin our life.
|
You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” You, Lord, took up my case; you redeemed my life. Lamentations 3:57-58
|
And when we call out to him for help, he hears us and comes to our side. It is so validating and encouraging when someone finally hears us and understands what we’re going through! Then he goes a step further—miles further, actually. He takes up our case in order to bring the needed restoration and redemption
|
Like a skilled surgeon, the Lord pulls out the arrows that have deeply wounded us and then brings total healing—so much so, you can’t even detect where the arrows previously struck. He makes our heart strong and whole again. Next time an arrow pierces your heart, let the Lord take up your case. (Healing Words, Day 215)
