It’s not uncommon for God to announce his intentions before he starts a new project. This shows how well he knows us. If he didn’t tell the Israelites it was his plan to free them from the Egyptians, they would not have given God the credit when the plan was accomplished. They would have found some other reason to attribute to their freedom.
|
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.” Exodus 6:1

The Lord did the same for me. Through a series of dreams, visions, and words of knowledge coming from many people and also directly to me, he told me he was going to do a healing work in my life. This was a great comfort to me whenever I felt crazy and doubt started to creep in as my painful memories surfaced. It reminded me that my healing was his idea, not mine.
|
God has been all about setting his people free from the beginning. He hates it when we are in bondage; it breaks his heart. As he explained to Moses, he heard the cries of his people and would respond with a powerful plan to get them out from under Pharaoh’s control.
|
From the outside looking in, it seemed completely unfeasible that a guy like Pharaoh would ever agree to release a couple of million slaves who were doing his bidding on every pet project. That perspective, however, underestimates the power of God. God holds more super powers than every super hero combined; those ten plagues were no joke!

Boot Camps: If you are a Healing Journey leader or considering becoming one, it is time to get registered! I recommend leaders return to Boot Camp for a refresher every 3-4 years. The last day to register for New York is May 12th. The last day for the early bird rate for Colorado is May 14th.
